Stoic and i went west on the train to Dasi Beach. It's a black sand beach with small waves and a lot of surfers. We weren't up for swimming with a bunch of surf boards so we took the train back to another beach in Fulong.

Beitou hot springs
Stoic Girl and i made it up north on the MRT to check out these cool hot springs. After checking out the stinky sulfur hot springs we went to some awesome outdoors citrus hot spring hot tubs....soooo nice!!

Yeah, i had to give it a try! it is a little nasty tasting and requires that you spit randomly. nevertheless, i will rest better on my deathbed knowing that i have given another intoxicating substance a try.

goin’ to the country
stoic and i headed out of town and to the mountain (wuliaochien mtn.)! it was a very beautiful day and an awesome hike. it is too fun to scoot around in the country here and look for the random trail. check out our Fliker site for more photos!!

spring vacation
stoic girl and i went on a vacation from april 5th to april 8th. we headed south to kenting and kaohsiung. we both really enjoyed koahsiung, a laid back port city. kenting would have been very nice if it hadn't been spring break a.k.a. spring scream. there were lots and lots of folks there to rock-n-roll and make the scene. nevertheless, the beach was great, we had lots of good food, and relaxed!!

We got a scooter!!
Well, we wanted to not get a scooter....but we did. it simply makes it easier to get to the mountains, cool places, etc....we took the scooter to yingge a pottery city that has a ceramics museum. i know, sound kinda boring but it wasn’t, honestly!! then we went to the mountains for an easy hike to a temple. come evening time we scooted over to the night market and bought some veggies and fruit. the scooter is turning out to be a lot of fun. click on da photo to see the photos!

Gongshi, Gongshi (Let's be happy!)
So it was new years here and well...it was crazy. stoic and i had many, many days off from work so we went to lots of touristy places like Chiang Kai-shek memorial , Longshan temple , Snake Alley (Taipei's Famous Night Markets) , and the Sanxia new year party The Fat Pig !! Basically there where fireworks nonstop for 3 weeks straight ( we both got burned at least once!) and well.... not much sleep! we also did a bit of drinkin’ with new years friends @ roxy jr. and did some shopping and sushi eatin’. it was so,so, so nice! essential beer
beer is essential but not essential beer. after drinkin' this beer i felt toxicated!!
tzushr temple
SanXia, Taiwan is about 40 minutes SW of Taipei City. It is most famous for Tzushr Temple which was originally constructed in 1769. Sanxia also has an "old street" that has over 100 buildings dating from the early 1900's.
