Typhoon Sepat

Yeah, typhoon Sepat hit Taiwan and it was pretty cool. Stoic and i stocked up on water and food and hunkered down. It wasn’t that strong just big...the center of the typhoon was 70 kilometers (43 miles) with sustained winds of 155 km (97 miles) per hour and gusts up to 191 km (120 miles) per hour. Our power went out in the middle of the night and it felt kinda eerie. The next day was pretty much normal just a few trees blown around and some damage to construction site walls.

Summer Vacation

Stoic and I left the main island for the Penghu islands just west of Taiwan. There we took a short ferry trip to Chipei island. Here we spent the next few days laying on the beach....it was awesome. We eventually went back to Makung for a night. There we had some of the best food we have had yet, here in Taiwan, and checked out some historic sites. Overall, it was the best vacation yet!!!
